Grandma
Grandma was a lot of things. Cook. Baker. Cleaner. Crocheter. Wife. Mother. Grandmother. Dress wearer. She wore sensible shoes. Grandma loved and was loved. She was a friend to many.
Roast beef, mashed potatoes and beef gravy. Virginia Slices (sweet pickles). Little Cookies. Orange Jell-O Salad. Cinnamon Rolls. Mock Chicken. Every dish brings back wonderful, warm memories.
Grandma kept a card catalog of recipes. I was fortunate enough to receive them. Most are in Grandma’s handwriting. I’ve included a few photographs of family members and examples of Grandma’s needlework.
